- 3 14 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 14 cups sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 23 cup light cream
- 14 cup butter, melted and cooled
Directions

1In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.

2In another bowl, beat together eggs, 2/3 cup sugar, and vanilla until thick and lemon colored.

3In another bowl, combine cream and butter.

4Alternately add dry ingredients and cream mixture to egg mixture.

5Beat each time until just blended.

6Chill dough for 2 hours.

7Roll out dough 3/8-inch thick on a powdered sugar or floured surface.

8Cut with doughnut cutter.

9Fry in 375 oil turning once; allow about 1 minute per side.

10Drain on paper towels.

11Shake warm doughnuts in a small brown paper bag with remaining sugar and cinnamon.
