- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. sifted plain flour
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 1 c. halved red candied cherries
- 1 c. halved green candied cherries
Directions

1Cream butter, adding confectioners sugar gradually.

2Blend in egg and vanilla; add flour.

3Mix well; stir in pecans and cherries.

4Chill dough for 1 hour; divide into thirds.

5Shape into 12-inch long rolls; wrap in waxed paper.

6Chill for at least 3 hours or place in freezer for 2 hours.

7Cut into 1/8-inch thick slices; place on ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake at 325° for 13 to 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
