  • 1 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 lb. whole candied cherries, plus some for garnishing (red and green)
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 lb. pecan halves, plus some for garnishing

    Grease pans well with butter and line bottom and sides with wax paper cut to fit, then grease paper. Preheat oven to 275°.
