  • 4 to 5 long, thin yams, peeled and sliced 1/2 thick
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick margarine

Directions

    Put margarine on bottom of heavy saucepan.

    Cover with sliced yams; top with brown sugar.

    Cover pan and bring ingredients to a slow boil.

    Reduce heat to simmer until yams are soft.
