- 12 sticks
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. red food coloring
Directions

1In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, food coloring and 1 1/2 cups water.

2Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved and liquid comes to a boil.

3Set a candy thermometer in mixture.

4Temperature reaches 290° about 20 minutes.

5Dip apples one by one to coat evenly.

6Work quickly.

7Place apples on greased sheet.
