Ingredients

  • 2 cup Water
  • 4 cup White granulated sugar
  • 2 cup Light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Red food coloring (optional)
  • 8 Apples
  • 8 Wooden sticks
  • 3/4 Any toppings
  • 1 Wax paper
  • 1 Unsalted butter

Directions

    Add the water,granulated sugar,corn syrup,and the red food coloring (if you want to) and put them in the pot.

    Put the candy thermometer in the pot and wait till it hits 290-300 degrees ( might take 15-20 minutes)(put the stove at medium temperature )

    If you don't have a candy thermometer have a cup with cold water and wait till the surface of the pot looks bubbly and dry.get the cold water and have a spoon with a little bit of the candy and pour it in the cup .

    If it looks hard then your ready to get the apples

    Get the candy apples and dip them in the pot an swirl them in the candy you can add any toppings or not.

    Have wax paper with the unsalted butter and put the apples there to dry.
