  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 -8 candy canes

    Start by pouring sugar and water in a saucepan.

    Give it a stir.

    Turn on stove to medium high heat.

    Meanwhile unwrap 6-8 candy canes.

    Break them up into pieces.

    Add to pan.

    Keep stirring .when candy canes are dissolved.

    It will turn clear and take on a deep pink color.

    When it comes to a boil.

    Boil 2-3 minutes.

    Turn off heat.

    Alliw to cool.

    Pour syrup into a jar with a lid.

    I poured mine into half pint canning jars while hot so they would seal.
