- 1 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. white corn syrup
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- several drops food coloring (optional)
- 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. powdered milk
Directions

1Combine sugar, white corn syrup and butter in pan, bring to boil stirring constantly.

2Turn heat low and boil 5 minutes.

3Stir occasionally.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla and several drops food coloring (optional).

5Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar, salt and powdered milk.

6Add all at once to mixture in pan.

7Stir until cool enough to handle.

8Knead until stiff enough to hold its shape. Shape into triangles, or any shape desired.

9Makes 1 3/4 pounds candy.
