- 4 qt. popcorn, popped
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

1Pop the popcorn. Cook over medium heat the sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.

2Stir constantly until boiling.

3Continue cooking without stirring for 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda.

5Put popcorn in two 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pans. Pour half the cooked mixture over popcorn in each pan.

6Stir well.

7Bake at 225° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

8Let cool.
