  • 1 lemon, rind of
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (I used a 3-inch stick of cinnamon)
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle merlot
  • 10 tablespoons sugar

Directions

    Heat merlot in a large saucepan.

    Dissolve sugar in the warm merlot.

    Add peels and spices to merlot.
