Canoe Crab Dip

  • 2 loaves unsliced Italian bread
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. crabmeat or shrimp
  • 1 c. chopped onions

Directions

    Hollow out one loaf of bread.

    Break or cut the part you have removed and the entire second loaf into bite-size pieces.

    Combine mayonnaise, cheese, crab and onions in baking dish.

    May be done ahead to this point and refrigerated.

    Bake until hot (350° for 20 to 30 minutes) and pour into hollowed out bread.

    Serve surrounded with bread pieces for dipping.
