- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- vanilla wafers
- 1 small cantaloupe
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler; stir in milk.

2Cook over boiling water, stirring until thickened.

3Cook 15 minutes more, stirring occasionally.

4Remove from heat; add vanilla.

5Line bowl with wafers; top with sliced cantaloupe.

6Pour some custard over cantaloupe; continue layers, ending with wafers. Serve warm or chilled.
