Cape Cod Fish Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 tsp. oleo
  • 3 large potatoes, cut up
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 lb. fresh of frozen fish
  • 1 c. corn and liquid
  • 1 tall can evaporated milk

Directions

    Saute onion in oleo until soft.

    Add potatoes, salt, basil, pepper and water.

    Bring to boil.

    Lower heat and cook 15 minutes. Add fish on top of potatoes.

    Cook 15 minutes more, until fish flakes and potatoes are tender.

    Add corn and it's liquid and milk.

    Heat, do not boil.

    Serves 6.
