  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

    Melt butter in a 3 quart saucepan

    Stirr in brown sugar and salt, until smooth

    Blend in corn syrup

    Gradually add sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly

    Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently to firm ball stage 248F

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
  7. 7
    Pour into buttered 9x12 baking dish and let cool, cut and wrap in waxed paper
