- 14 oz. pkg. caramels
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 3/4 c. melted butter
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1In double boiler, melt caramels and evaporated milk.

2In large bowl, mix cake, nuts, melted butter and evaporated milk.

3Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Place 1/2 of cake mixture in pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350°.

5Sprinkle chips on top.

6Pour caramel mixture on top.

7Sprinkle rest of cake mixture on top.

8Bake 15 to 18 minutes.

9Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting.
