  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 3 c. whipping cream

Directions

    Mix together and boil sugar, Karo and 1 cup of whipping cream to 236° on candy thermometer.

    Add 1 cup cream; boil to 236° again.

    Add final cup of cream and boil to 240°.

    Remove from heat.

    Add 2 teaspoons vanilla and 2 cups chopped pecans (optional).
