- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt butter or margarine in saucepan. Remove from heat.

2Add sugar. Stir well. Do not use electric mixer!

3Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flour and nuts.

4Mix thoroughly. Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan for 18 to 20 minutes.

5Do not overbake.

6Cut into squares when cool.

7Store in airtight container.
