- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light brown sugar or maple sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 (1 oz.) sq. Hershey's baking chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

2Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla.

5Gradually pour over popped corn, mixing well.

6Turn into 2 large shallow baking pans.

7Bake in 250° oven for 1 hour,

8stirring every 15 minutes.

9Remove from oven, cool completely.

10Break apart.

11Makes about 5 quarts caramel corn.
