- 1/4 c. light Karo syrup
- 1/4 c. light or dark molasses
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix the syrup, molasses, sugar, vinegar, salt and margarine in a 2-quart saucepan.

2Stirring constantly, bring the mixture to a boil over a medium heat.

3Boil gently until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (290° on a candy thermometer).

4Add the soda and mix well.

5Pour the foamy mixture over 6 to 8 cups of popped popcorn.

6Stir well as you pour the mixture on the corn.
