- 5 qt. popped corn
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Spread popped corn in large shallow pan.

2Hold in 250° oven to keep crisp.

3Combine remaining ingredients except soda.

4Cook at medium, stirring to dissolve sugar and prevent sticking, until a drop of the syrup forms a firm ball in a cup of water (248°). Then stir in the soda.

5Pour over corn and mix well to coat evenly.

6Return to oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Can also add nuts.

7This can be frozen and served later in bags.
