- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/2 c. syrup (Mrs. Butterworth)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix syrup, sugar, vinegar, salt and butter in a 2-quart saucepan, stirring constantly.

2Bring mixture to a boil over a medium heat.

3Boil gently until mixture reaches hard crack stage in water or 290° on candy thermometer.

4Add soda and mix well. Pour foamy mixture over popped corn and stir well.
