Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped popcorn (1/2 c. unpopped)
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. unsalted nuts
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Combine popped corn and nuts in a large roasting pan.

    In medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, oleo and salt.

    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Boil for 4 minutes without stirring.

    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and nuts; toss to coat well. Bake for 60 minutes in a 250° oven, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and break apart.

    Store in airtight container.
