Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Put popcorn in plastic or glass bowl.

    Stir together syrup, sugar, butter and salt and cook at medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.

    Cook without stirring for five minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well.

    Pour into greased cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes at 250°.

    (Stir with a spoon after 10 minutes.)

    Break apart when cool.
