Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine (half of each is good)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- dash of salt
- 8 qt. popped corn (popped with no oil or salt)
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and butter/margarine in a saucepan.

2Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat; add baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.

4Pour over popped corn and mix thoroughly.

5Place in large uncovered pan (about 18 x 12 x 2 1/2-inch).

6Bake in low oven (200°) for 1 hour.

7Remove and spread on waxed paper or foil and separate into bite sized pieces.

8Store in covered container.
