  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • nuts (if desired)

Directions

    In a saucepan, combine oleo, sugar and syrup; boil 5 minutes. Add cream of tartar.

    Stir in soda.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Mix well. Pour coated popcorn into a buttered pan.

    Bake at 200° for 1 hour.

    Stir every 15 minutes.
