Caramel Corn

  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • pinch of cream of tartar

Directions

    Bring sugar, syrup, oleo and cream of tartar to a boil in large saucepan.

    Take form heat and add soda (this will foam up so start with a large pan).

    Mix and stir over popped corn.

    Bake in large roasting pan 1 hour in 200° oven, stirring occasionally. After cooled, store in covered container.
