- 12 to 15 c. popped corn (2 1/2-qt.), unbuttered
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Divide popcorn between 2 ungreased 9 x 13-inch pans.

2Keep warm in a 200° oven while preparing caramel.

3Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges or until 248° on candy thermometer.

4Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda until foamy and uniform in color.

5Pour over corn, stirring until well coated. Bake in a 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
