  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 qt. popped popcorn

Directions

    Melt margarine; stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt.

    Bring to boil. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.

    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Put in buttered pan and bake at 300° for 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes.

    Remove and loosen to eat.
