  • 20 c. popcorn
  • 1/2 c. pecans
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • pinch of cream of tartar

Directions

    Combine brown sugar, margarine and syrup.

    Boil 5 minutes. Add salt, vanilla, soda and cream of tartar (it should foam up). Pour over popcorn and nuts.

    Put in dish and bake at 250° to 275° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

    Spread out after removing from oven.
