- 20 c. popcorn
- 1/2 c. pecans
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- pinch of cream of tartar
Directions

1Combine brown sugar, margarine and syrup.

2Boil 5 minutes. Add salt, vanilla, soda and cream of tartar (it should foam up). Pour over popcorn and nuts.

3Put in dish and bake at 250° to 275° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

4Spread out after removing from oven.
