  • 6 qt. popped popcorn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. cream tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Place popcorn that has already been popped in a very large bowl and set aside. In a sauce pan bring brown sugar, butter, cream of tartar and syrup to a boil.

    Boil for 1 minute. Add baking soda. Beat down the foam. Pour over popcorn and mix to coat. Turn out onto cookie sheet. Place into a 200° oven for 1 hour to let dry.
