Ingredients

  • 8 or 9 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Boil all ingredients except popcorn and baking soda for 5 minutes and remove from heat.

    Stir in soda very quickly.

    Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir.

    Put it in a roaster pan or other large pan in a 250° oven for one hour, stirring occasionally.

    After it has cooled, store in a tight container.
