- 6 c. unsalted popped corn
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. corn syrup
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Set oven at 225°.

2Put large pan in heated oven.

3Pop corn (air-popped is best) and put in pan in oven to keep warm.

4In separate large pan, mix sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt. Heat, stirring constantly until melted and bring to a boil, making sure all sugar is blended.

5When it reaches soft ball stage, remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla.

6(The mixture will froth.)

7Pour over popcorn and mix thoroughly until coated (use fork).

8Put back in oven, set timer and, every 15 minutes, turn coated corn, mixing well.

9In 60 minutes, remove from oven and cool.

10Store in covered bowl.
