  • 6 qt. popped popcorn
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1 scant tsp. soda

Directions

    Boil oleo, syrup, sugar and cream of tartar 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Add soda and pour over popcorn (in a big roaster). Bake in 200° oven for 1 hour; stir every 10 minutes.
