- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 sticks oleo
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- pinch of cream of tartar
- 6 qt. popped popcorn
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1In a large saucepan, mix the first 5 ingredients and bring to a boil, boiling gently for 5 minutes.

2Remove from heat.

3Stir in 1 teaspoon soda.

4Mixture will foam.

5Pour mixture over popped corn; mix well.

6Place in oven for 1 hour at 200°.

7Stir every 15 minutes.

8Raw peanuts may be stirred in before baking.
