Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 10 qt. air popped popcorn
  • toasted almonds or other nuts

Directions

    Place popped popcorn in 2 large roasting pans.

    Sprinkle almonds or nuts over popcorn.

    Melt butter.

    Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

    Bring to boil and continue to boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in baking soda and vanilla.

    Gradually pour over popcorn and mix well. Bake for 1 hour at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes.

    Put into Tupperware immediately so it won't stick to pans.
