Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white syrup (Karo)
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp. baking soda

Directions

    Boil brown sugar, white syrup, margarine, cream of tartar and salt 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Add baking soda and stir down. Pour over popped corn.

    Stir corn to cover all.

    Put corn on cookie sheet.

    Put in oven and bake 1 hour at 200°.
