- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. cold margarine
- 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
- 24 caramels
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar and egg; cut in 1/2 cup margarine until crumbly.

2Stir in walnuts.

3Reserve 2 cups crumbs and press the rest into 13 x 9-inch pan.

4Bake 15 minutes.

5Melt caramels with milk and 1/4 cup margarine.

6Pour over crust.
-
7Bake at 350° for 20 minutes until bubbly.

8Cool and cut into bars.

9Store at room temperature.

10Makes 24 to 36 bars.
