  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans, finely chopped

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time.

    Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add slowly alternating with milk and beating mixture as you go. Add vanilla and nuts.

    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
