Caramel Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 14 caramels
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans, chopped or halves
- 1 unbaked pastry shell
Directions

1Melt caramels in hot water in top of double boiler over boiling water.

2Let cool.

3In large bowl, cream butter.

4Add sugar about 2 tablespoons at a time.

5Cream until light and fluffy. Beat in flour, salt and beaten eggs.

6Stir in the melted caramels. Add milk, vanilla and pecans.

7Pour into unbaked shell.

8Bake in 425° oven for 15 minutes which has been preheated.

9Turn oven off and let set in oven 15 minutes.
