  • 28 pieces vanilla caramels
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 pie shell

    Melt caramels in water with margarine over low heat.

    Stir until smooth.

    Combine sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs.

    Gradually add caramel mixture, mix well.

    Pour in pie shell. Bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.
