- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. pecans
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 pie shell

1Melt caramels in water with margarine over low heat.

3Combine sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs.

4Gradually add caramel mixture, mix well.

6Pour in pie shell. Bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.
