- 1 batch (approximately 3 qt.) popcorn, popped
- 1 stick margarine (not low-fat or butter)
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/3 c. corn syrup (maple syrup may be substituted)
Directions

1Melt margarine or butter in saucepan.

2Add brown sugar and corn syrup.

3Boil to 238° or soft ball stage (mixture forms a soft ball when dropped into glass of cold water and scooped out with a fork), approximately 16 minutes.

4Pour over popped corn.

5Stir until every kernel is coated.

6Sometimes I add salted peanuts along with popcorn for Cracker Jacks.
