- 8 qt. popcorn (remove unpopped kernels)
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 tsp. salt or less
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Put popcorn in baking pan.

2Put sugar, margarine, salt and syrup in a heavy, 3-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until boiling begins.

3Stop stirring and cook for 5 more minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon soda and stir.

4Pour over popcorn and stir to coat as evenly as possible.

5Bake at 250° for 45 minutes.

6Stir every 15 minutes.

7Pour out on wax paper to cool.

8Store in airtight containers.
