  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 4 to 6 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Dissolve sugar, molasses, water, butter and vinegar in saucepan.

    Boil until it cracks in cold water.

    Remove from heat; add soda and stir quickly.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour.

    Cool.

    Makes 4 to 6 quarts.
