- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
Directions

1In the top of a double boiler, stir together the brown sugar, salt, light cream and 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten.

2Cook the mixture over gently boiling water, stirring constantly until it thickens.

3Add butter and vanilla. Cool the sauce before serving.
