Caramel Walnut Bars

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. cold margarine
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 25 caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg. Cut in 1/2 cup margarine until crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 2 cups of crumb mixture and press remainder firmly on bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes.
