  • 4 slices pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 14 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

    Preheat broiler.

    Line broiler pan with foil; arrange pineapple in pan.

    Mix syrup, rum and pepper; brush half of the mixture over pineapple.

    Broil 4 inches from heat until glaze is caramelized, about 4 minutes.

    Turn pineapple and brush with remaining glaze.
