  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Grease a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Melt butter; add sugar and salt and mix well.

    Stir in syrup and mix well.

    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.

    Continue stirring and cook to 245° or firm ball stage (about 12 to 15 minutes).

    Pour into pan and cool thoroughly.

    Cut with scissors and wrap in waxed paper squares.
