  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. white Karo
  • 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • shake of salt (if desired)
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Cook all but vanilla and nuts to 246° (soft ball stage).

    Add vanilla and nuts.

    Pour into well-greased 8 x 8-inch pan.

    When cold, turn upside down on flat surface and let it fall out.

    Cut in strips and then into pieces.

    Wrap in squares of wax paper.
