- 2 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Butter a 9-inch square pan; set aside.

2Melt butter in 3-quart pan.

3Add sugar and salt; stir.

4Stir in corn syrup.

5Gradually add sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly.

6Use candy thermometer.

7Cook and stir over medium heat to 240°.

8Remove from heat.

9Pour into buttered pan; cool and cut.
