- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. walnuts
Directions

1Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan.

2Add brown sugar and salt. Stir until thoroughly combined.

3Stir in corn syrup; mix well. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.

4Cook and stir over medium heat until candy reaches firm ball stage, 245°, about 12 to 15 minutes.

5Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

6Pour in buttered 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

7Cool and cut in squares.

8Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
